IVANA BIZIC
Ivana Bizic came into contact with the art of pottery during her archaeology studies. While participating in excavations conducted in Egypt, she was captivated by the decorations and ornaments crafted on ancient pots.
She began crafting ceramic pieces in Serbia, and, after moving to France, she continued to evolve her skills, even incorporating Raku into her work. Beyond the historical significance of pottery relics, it's the process of transformation that truly fascinates her: "The clay comes from nature, and we shape it into functional or decorative pieces. I find that astonishing."
Additionally, she has also specialised in creating jewellery using Silver Clay (ArtClay Silver).
Her creations were used for the book "Once Upon a Liver in the Southwest" [«Il était une f’oie dans le Sud-Ouest»] where her plates accompanied gourmet recipes from the Southwestern region of France.
The book was published by SudOuest Editions in 2018.
